Ski and Board

Situated on the French-Italian border, Montgenevre is linked to the Via Lattea ski area, which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics and boasts 400km piste terrain. In the immediate ski domain connected to Claviere, there are 71 pistes including 8 green, 19 blue, 30 red and 14 black runs. There are 2 ski schools in the resort (ESF and APEAK).

However, Montgenevre is not just for downhill skiers. There are long cross-country tracks through pine forests and two lakes, where the French national team train. The wide slopes and the naturally forming gorges typical to Montgenevre are snowboarders’ dream; snowboard facilities include a half pipe, a snow park and two border-crosses. For heli-skiing enthusiasts, there are trips organized for the powder on peaks in both Italy and France.
